Melanie Huerta is a first-generation Mexican-American communications and marketing professional with over seven years of experience driving creative growth across industries including e-commerce, government, small business, and digital media.

With a strong foundation in brand storytelling, digital marketing, content creation, and strategic communications, Melanie has led high-impact projects for startups, city governments, and community-driven initiatives. Her expertise includes video production, social media strategy, graphic design, and market research all grounded in a deep passion for building meaningful connections through digital platforms.

 

Founder & Creative Director

Melanie is the Founder of MelCreations, a Latina-owned creative agency that provides video content, branding, and social media management services tailored for small businesses and entrepreneurs. She also serves as a Digital Content Creator at Sanrah Inc., where she produces branded video campaigns that elevate customer engagement and digital presence in the e-commerce space.

 

Local Government

Her public sector experience includes work as a Marketing Events Assistant for the City of Yucaipa, where she supported the planning and promotion of city events and marketing campaigns. She also collaborated with the Small Business Institute at Cal State Fullerton to enhance the City of Placentia’s social media strategy, and served as a Communications Intern for the City of Beaumont, where she supported city-wide communications, news coverage, and community outreach.

 

Podcast Host

She is also the host of the Hola Let’s Chat Podcast, where she spotlights creatives, professionals, and everyday storytellers from diverse backgrounds, fostering dialogue and inspiration across cultures.

 

Education

Melanie is proud to be a B.A. Communications, Public Relations alumna of California State University, Fullerton, and is passionate about uplifting her community through innovative storytelling, representation, and purpose-driven digital strategies.

Outside of her career, she is passionate about fitness, diving into a good book, traveling, podcasting, and exploring everything related to beauty and wellness. Her love for communication—whether it's through organic storytelling, video content creation, or connecting with others—also plays a key role in her career. These personal interests, combined with professional expertise, give her a unique perspective on brand development, with a focus on creativity, brand awareness, marketing strategy, and effective communication.
